Jade Plant (Crassula sp.) - Large
The leaves of Jade Plant (Crassula sp.) are thick, fleshy, and opal-shaped in a deep, glossy jade green color, occasionally with a hint of red along the edges. The new growth starts on stems with the same texture and color as the leaves but eventually transforms into a brown, woody stem.
These plants require abundant light and are low maintenance.
For optimal growth, keep your Crassula ovata indoors in a well-lit area, such as a south or west-facing spot. However, it can also tolerate lower light conditions. During warmer months, it can be placed outside in a sunny location, but remember to bring it back inside before the colder weather arrives in autumn.
For optimal growth, consider adding extra grit to compost or using a compost specifically recommended for cacti and succulents. For a more natural, polished appearance and to prevent evaporation, add a top layer of gravel or pebbles on top of the compost when planting.
